I’ve found the best family-friendly activity to do near London, it’s Gruffalo-themed and totally free | The Sun

A DOTING mother has revealed she’s discovered the best place to spend time as a family without spending tons of money.

Known as @sueomanii on social media, the woman explained that the Gruffalo trail is completely free to visit.

“Another place to visit with the kids for free, you just need to pay for parking,” she shared as viewers watched footage of her driving to the place.

She then showed scenes of her daughter holding up a map as she walked  through a forest with statues of the Gruffalo characters.

“So this is our second time coming to the Gruffalo’s trail – it’s literally our favourite book,” she said.

As her child walked across a wooden bridge, she explained that it’s located in Brentwood and is open between 8am and 6pm from Monday to Sunday.

Holding up a page from the Gruffalo book with a snake in it, viewers could see the very same snake in the form of a statue in the forest.

She continued: “I’ll definitely say make sure you get a map so you don’t get lost.

“It’s also a fun way of your child learning to follow simple instructions by following the map to find all the characters mentioned in the Gruffalo’s book.”

TikTok user @sueomanii then shared a clip showing off the interior of the gift shop, which was decked out with stuffed toys, tote bags and games.
