When it comes to weddings, wearing white is a big no-no.
But although it's a well-known rule, many still find themselves going rogue on the big day.
One bride recently found herself in that situation when she discovered what her future mother-in-law was planning to wear.
Not only did the groom's mum plan on wearing white to the wedding, the dress itself was the same one she wore on her big day.
We can understand why the bride was "at an absolute loss for words" after posting on social media begging for advice.
She wrote online: "What do I even say here please help me."
The bride added: "This woman is just unimaginably vile and two-faced…
"I haven't told my fiancé yet as he is an absolute mama's boy and don't want to stir up any drama."
The post was then shared on Reddit with one user calling the groom's mum the "Wicked Witch of the Wedding".
In the upload, it shows the screenshots of the bride's text exchange with her mother-in-law.

Bride causes outrage by banning groom's 98-year-old gran from wedding reception
She initially asked her mother-in-law what type of dress she had purchased for the wedding.
When the bride told her "I'm sure it's stunning on you," the mother-in-law rudely replied: "You have already seen it."
The groom's mum asked "Did I not show you my wedding album last weekend?" before sending a picture of the white gown.
"I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude or anything but you're planning on wearing your wedding dress to our wedding?" the bride replied.
She added: "We could help you find a similar one that fits our planned colours instead!"
At this point the mother-in-law began to lose her temper and threw some nasty name-calling at the bride.
She wrote back: "Do not play these games with me you skank. It is MY son's wedding and I am paying for over half of it.
"I will wear whatever f***ing dress I please and if you have something to say about it…"
She continued: "Good luck to your family because Lord knows they are too poor to afford it seeing as I am paying for more than half.
"Don't you dare even think about trying to ruin this moment for me.
"You know the rest of my children will not get married in my lifetime and this is the only wedding of my kids that I will be a part of."
Since it was shared on Reddit, many users were left horrified with the exchange.

One said: "I think if my MIL [mother-in-law] called me a skank I'd be declining to contact her ever again."
Others demanded she called off the wedding if her husband-to-be didn't stand up for her.
They added: "Either MIL is banned from the wedding or there is no wedding."
