Britney Spears is already back on Instagram less than a week after announcing she was taking a “little break from social media” to celebrate her engagement to Sam Asghari.
The “Toxic” singer, 39, captioned two selfies of herself on Monday, “Some shots from my weekend getaway to celebrate my engagement with my … holy s–t … FIANCÉ … I still can’t believe it !!!!”
She added, “I couldn’t stay away from the gram too long so I’m back already ????♀️? !!!!”
Spears, who sported a shorter hairdo with red streaks in her engagement announcement video, also explained her different hairstyle, adding, “Psss I took these in Palm Springs with clip-in extensions ??♀️??!!!!!”
However, the pop star was recently snapped by paparazzi still sporting her red and blonde hair.
The Daily Mail released photos of Spears and Asghari, 27, on Friday going for a drive together in her Mercedes-Benz in Los Angeles.
The outlet also released a separate set of photos taken of Asghari on Saturday leaving Bas Rutten’s Elite MMA Gym in Westlake Village, a two-and-half-hour-plus drive from where Spears claimed in her caption that she and her new fiancé spent their weekend.
Reps for Spears and Asghari did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
Last week, the “Overprotected” singer’s lawyer Mathew Rosengart told Page Six it was Spears’ decision to deactivate her Instagram account. He has not returned requests for comment on her return.
A separate source also told Page Six of Spears’ social media hiatus, “She’s happy and in a great place and silence can be a powerful thing and a powerful message.”
The insider added that she wanted time away “in light of the successful path that she’s been on and continues to be on [following] the news of [her engagement].”
Meanwhile, Spears’ recent topless pics and videos remain on her profile.
Spears and her longtime boyfriend, Sam Asghari, got engaged on Sept. 12 after five years of dating amid her 13-year conservatorship.
