A woman has warned other drivers that a secret button underneath your car’s ear view mirror could save lives.
The woman, from Louisiana, who goes by @everythingbrooklyn on TikTok revealed that a tab underneath your car’s mirror could prevent you having an accident on the road.
The TikToker showed herself pushing the tab down which flipped the mirror down towards the back seats of the car.
This means that if you have someone with bright lights behind your car, it won’t dazzle you, because it changes the direction of the glare.
The light is directed down past the eye, instead of directing going into it.

When many drivers opt to venture out at night, it’s dark, especially on country roads and quieter areas.
Car manufacturers have therefore introduced LED headlights into their newer models.
These headlights tend to be a brighter, whiter light when compared to regular halogen headlights, which are yellowish in tone.
But sometimes drivers may not realise their full beam is on or forget to turn it off, which could also cause you to become dazzled.
People in higher cars such as SUVs or Pickup trucks with LED headlights tend to dazzle those in smaller cars because of the height difference.
A report by by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reveals that drivers complain about headlight glare and claims it reduces their visibility.
Europe have used adaptive driving beams since 2012 and they are now widely available on vehicles sold in many worldwide markets, except for the US, reports NBC News.
But the TikToker has taught others how to prevent being dazzled simply by using a little button that most cars have on their rear view mirrors.
She captioned the video: ‘Me flipping the rear view mirror tab so the headlights don’t blind me.’
She then wrote: ‘My boyfriend is a genius. Who knew!’
The video racked up more than two million views and thousands of likes.
People commented their thoughts on the video, with some saying it was genius and others stating that they already knew about it.
