MOTHER'S Day is nearly upon us and many will be frantically looking around for a pressie for their mum.

But you might want to treat your loved one to a special meal or gift without breaking the bank.

So we've put together some of the best deals out there to help you save on the pounds this year.

Aldi

The German discounter has launched a Mother's Day offer for four and costing £10.

Shoppers can get hold of all-butter scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam.

Meanwhile, there's all the components to make sandwiches, including honey ham, cheddar slices and a loaf of white bread.

Morrisons

Customers can nab the menu at Morrisons cafes nationwide until March 19.

Mums and their loved ones can pick up a selection of sandwiches, cakes and fruit scones served on a three-tier stand.

Children with less to spend can buy cheaper items including toasted fruit cakes for £1.29 and crumpets for 99p.

If you feel like making the most of the offer from the comfort of your own home, you can order the meal deal to collect from your nearest branch.

That's not all. Morrisons has launched two deals on its tipples too.

Customers can get a 25% discount if they buy six bottles of fizz, whites, reds or roses.

If you don't want to break the bank as much, you can buy two bottles for £10.

Both offers are running until April 11 in-store and online across England and Wales stores.

The two for £10 offer costs £10.50 for customers in Wales.

M&S

Marks and Spencer has launched a Mother's Day meal deal for two for £25 or £12.50 per person.

The offer is available at 31 cafes across the UK, including in Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow.

The menu features the classic all-butter scones with clotted cream, fresh strawberries and mini chocolate cupcakes.

Diners can feast on French macarons, cinnamon biscuits and sandwiches too.

For those who have a bit more cash to splash, you can add a mini bottle of Conte Prioili Oro Prosecco for an extra £5.

Slug and Lettuce

Slug and Lettuce is offering customers afternoon tea to celebrate Mother's Day.

The afternoon tea deal comes with three different options: classic tea for £15 per person, tipsy tea for £21 per person and cocktails and cakes for £21 per person.

All three options come with a selection of sandwiches, scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam and either tea, Prosecco or cocktails.

You can book one of the tea's on Slug and Lettuce's website.

Harvester

Harvester is running a three-course Mother's Day offer on March 18 and 19 for £21.99.

You can pick from halloumi fries, breaded mushrooms and tomato and basil soup for starters.

The main course options include a BBQ chicken stack, cod and chips and chargrilled chicken skewers.

Diners can get chocolate fudge cake, treacle sponge and a rocky horror sundae for afters.
