“Shahs of Sunset” star Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi is embracing being a “walking controversy.”
The TV personality is launching her “Genuinely GG” podcast next week and told Page Six that while the program isn’t solely about her, it will cover issues she’s “gone through my whole life and have been judged for.”
“I am an unconventional Persian. I didn’t grow up with Persian people. I only hung out with black people. So for me, you know, getting braids was, is, a fine thing,” she said about her past controversial hairstyle.
“I smoke a lot of pot and I’m a mom,” the 39-year-old continued. “I used a sperm donor to make a baby. I got married for seven weeks because I genuinely just don’t believe in marriage and relationships for that matter, you know?”
The mom of nearly 1-year-old Elijah will also have celebrities and experts on the show to add insight.
“So I just sort of want to peel all these layers off to make people understand where my mindset is …” she told us.
While Gharachedaghi is “over the moon excited” that her first “Genuinely GG” guest is “the Pope of Dope” Tommy Chong, she told us that her dream guest is Russell Brand.
“I love Russell Brand,” she gushed. “He’s brilliant to me. His dry humor is beautiful to me. His journey from where he was to where he is now is amazing and just his view on life, on politics, on certain controversies. I just really enjoy Russell Brand.”
She added that none of her “Shahs of Sunset” co-stars are slated to appear on her podcast yet, but she’s not opposed to having a familiar face on to chat with her.
The first episode of “Genuinely GG” will premiere through Straw Hut Media on March 17.
