She captioned the video, which has so far amassed more than 62,000 views: ‘Sometimes the most subtle qualities are what make up your favorite people. Character over everything!’
The first quality highly likeable people have is self-awareness.
‘They understand their own triggers, flaws and tone and how they come off to other people,’ she said.
She then explained that someone who was self-aware would politely tell those around them how they’re feeling instead of taking it out on them.
For example, if they are feeling stressed they will say: ‘I’m sorry, I’m getting a bit overwhelmed, can you explain again from the beginning what exactly happened?’
Secondly, charismatic people always take ownership.
‘They take complete ownership of their life, they don’t make excuses, blame others, or victimize themselves,’ Erin explained.
She said that in a work setting this was shown by taking responsibility for your faults and ensuring it wouldn’t happen again.
