Vanessa Feltz turned 61 on Tuesday, 21 February and celebrated her birthday as a single woman following her heartbreaking split from fiancé Ben Ofoedu.
The TV personality admitted that her heart is "a bit battered and bruised" after learning that her partner of 15 years had been unfaithful.
However, she reflected on how time can change things dramatically, writing in her column for the Express that in the last 12 months she’s "embarked on Instagram" and "become a grandma for the fourth time with Cecily Violet."
Taking to the social media app, a smiley Vanessa shared how she spent the day with her 332,000 followers.
It started with a flying visit from her grandkids who handed her a bunch of foil balloons and some pressies before heading to school.
The video, which she shared to her Instagram feed, shows Vanessa looking glam as ever in a blue leopard print dress and orange suede boots as she beams at the camera.
“I’m the birthday girl! #grateful #family #healing #birthday,” she captioned the post, alluding to her mental recovery following her heartbreak.
Over on her stories she revealed her beautiful gift was a personalised bracelet with four hearts on it – one for each of her grandchildren.
In the afternoon Vanessa then had a quick outfit change into a gorgeous heart print midi dress from Never Fully Dressed before heading out for a fancy lunch with two of her girlfriends.
She shared a glimpse into the yummy dessert, which featured a plate with the words ‘happy birthday’ written on it in chocolate and mini brownie with a candle on top.
Vanessa was also sent tonnes of gifts from her fans and brands, including an birthday afternoon tea in a box, some stunning flowers and a bottle of bubbly.
In the evening, Vanessa then switched into her third outfit of the day, wearing a stunning blue evening gown to dine at the Circolo Popolare, near Tottenham Court Road in London.
It was a battle for the most impressive birthday pudding at the end of the night when Vanessa unveiled the Italian restaurant’s offering of a giant slice of lemon meringue with a pink sparkly ‘happy birthday’ stuck into the top.
Loads of the star’s celeb pals have showered her with birthday messages today too, with her This Morning co-star Philip Schofield writing: “Happy Birthday gorgeous”, alongside some champagne and cake emojis.
Denise Van Outen also commented: “Happy birthday beautiful Vanessa. We all love you xxx”.
