Kate Middleton visits garden centre in 2020
Kate, Princess of Wales, 41, is fortunate that she likely has staff at Adelaide Cottage who are able to shop for her.
But the Princess continues to occasionally go shopping despite being one of the most recognisable women in the world.
To prevent a shopkeeper from identifying her, Kate once had to use an alternate name.
The Princess had to reserve an item under a cover name because she was unable to pay for it at the time.
Kate had misplaced her purse and therefore had to assume a new name to disguise the shopping error.

The Princess gave the shopkeeper a fake name so that the journey would not have been in vain.

The Princess said “Mrs Cambridge” when asked for her name, alluding to her former title the Duchess of Cambridge.
At the time a source told the Mail on Sunday: “He [Bucky] was happy with that, but then produced a pen and asked for her name.
“Perhaps she was trying to play down her destiny as future Queen, but she replied ‘Mrs Cambridge’.
