Meghan King is “rattled” after her breakup from her husband of two months, President Joe Biden’s nephew Cuffe Biden Owens.
“I’ve been asked by many outlets and individuals to comment on the state of my marriage,” King, 37, wrote in a statement on her Instagram Story on Monday. “I am rattled. This situation is profoundly devastating.”
The former “Real Housewives of Orange County” star continued, “This is obviously not what I imagined when I made my vows — and I’m shocked and saddened by the way things turned out.”
King wrote that she is “moving forward” with her children as they “privately process [their] pain and begin to let go of shattered dreams.”
She concluded by requesting privacy, writing, “At this time I ask for your grace and gentle kindness as I navigate this labyrinth of grief with my family.”
Page Six broke the news last week that King and Biden Owens, 42, had called it quits.
“She has told friends they broke up,” a source us at the time.
It is unclear when the now-estranged couple started dating, but they went Instagram-official in September, just a few weeks before tying the knot on Oct. 11.
“We connected on a dating app, texted for a day or two, then spent five straight hours on the phone the first time we spoke,” King previously told Brides.com of her whirlwind romance with Biden Owens.
They wed at his childhood home in Kennett Square, Penn., in front of the president and first lady Jill Biden. The groom’s mother, Valerie Biden Owens, is POTUS’ younger sister and close adviser.
King’s ex-husband Jim Edmonds — with whom she shares 5-year-old son Aspen and 3-year-old twins Hart and Hayes — told the Daily Mail when he heard the news, “I thought it was a joke. They’d been dating for about four weeks!”
The former MLB player, 51, added that he had wondered, “Is she pregnant? But is it even possible to know that just four weeks after the first date?”
King and Edmonds married in 2014 and separated in 2019 after he was allegedly unfaithful. They finalized their divorce in May.
Amid her divorce, the former Bravolebrity briefly dated entrepreneur Christian Schauf and real estate broker Will Roos before getting together with Cuffe.
