Santino’s Pizza, located in Columbus, put up the controversial job advertisement two months ago, but when one person saw it and shared it to Facebook last week – it quickly went viral and launched a major argument between social media users.
The red-and-white sign is hung on a fence outside the restaurant, and in big letters it reads, ‘Now hiring non-stupid people.’

According to the owner, Jayden Dunigan, the advertisement was supposed to be a joke. She discussed the backlash with ABC 6 recently, and she insisted that it ‘wasn’t meant to target anyone or be rude.’
‘It’s more humor than anything,’ she explained, adding, ‘A lot of people we’ve hired just don’t want to work.

‘It was about 10 pizzas. We made the order, he called back, he talked down to one of our employees. He said our pizza sucks, and he’s canceling the order,’ she said.
