A POPULAR bakery chain is set to open new branches with drive-thrus.
Gail's has announced that it has plans to open ten drive-thru bakeries.
Gail's hopes to open the new bakeries within the next 12 months but it will need to secure new leases for spaces big enough first.
The bakery chain is currently searching for sites of between 2,000 sq ft and 4,000 sq ft with space for at least 20 cars across London and the South East.
The move will mean that drivers could soon be able to pick up loaves of sourdough, muffins and sausage rolls – all without leaving their vehicles.
Gail's is yet to confirm if any specific locations have been chosen as potential sites for opening.

Tom Molnar, co-founder and chief executive of Gail’s said: "We are first and foremost a bakery, so it’s about the kitchen, and then if we have space for seating, we will add it in.
"We are always experimenting with new formats as it allows us to take advantage of different real estate opportunities that present themselves."
But Gail's, which has 100 branches in the UK, isn't exactly the cheapest bakery on the high street.
A single sausage roll costs around £4 a piece.
