Update on the “epic fight” between Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen. Apparently Gisele continues to be less-than-thrilled about Tom un-retiring from the NFL, and they spent Labor Day weekend apart.
“There’s a lot of tension,” a source tells People. “She was so happy when he announced his retirement, and she wasn’t thrilled at all when he went back on that. They’re hitting a rough patch. “But I know they’re trying, or at least he’s trying, to figure it out and make it work. He wants to get through this and for things to get better.”
Page Six was the first to report this news, with a source saying “There’s been trouble in the marriage over his decision to un-retire. Gisele has always been the one with the kids. They had agreed he would retire to focus on the family, then he changed his mind.”
FYI, it sounds like Tom’s career has been a topic of discussion amongst the couple for some time. He spoke about how it effects his marriage during a chat with Howard Stern in 2020, saying Giselle didn’t feel he was doing his “part for the family” and “felt like I would play football all season and she would take care of the house. She wasn’t satisfied with our marriage. So I needed to make a change in that. Her point was, ‘Well, yeah, of course this works for you. It all works for you. But it doesn’t work for me.'”
