The OC may have only lasted four years, but the drama of the affluent teens (and their hot parents) living in Southern California provided us with enough drama to last a lifetime and ensured it became an international hit.
It may have been 14 years since the last episode aired, but we'll always secretly aspire for a love like Seth and Summer and avoid a Ryan and Marissa type of relationship at all costs.
They had us wishing our high school lives were as glamorous as theirs, much like One Tree Hill who's cast have gone on to do many other things.
But what happened to the OC crew? Let’s take a look…

Adam Brody (Seth Cohen)
After playing Seth Cohen, Adam went on to star in countless TV dramas including New Girl and House Of Lies.
He has also starred in Hollywood films such as Jennifer’s Body and more recently DC Comics action-comedy Shazam where he played Captain Marvel Jr.
After splitting from co-star Rachel Bilson (yes Seth and Summer were a thing in real life!), Adam married Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester, and the couple are parents to a daughter named Arlo who was born in 2015, and a son born last year who's name they are yet to announce.
Mischa Barton (Marissa Cooper)
Mischa left the show prematurely when Marissa Cooper was shockingly killed off in Season 3. (Does just hearing the opening chords of Jeffrey Buckley's Hallelujah have anyone else crying from the memories?)
The actress was the only member of the cast who was close to the age she was playing and was 17 when she landed the role.
Speaking about her decision to leave, Mischa has since explained: “I just had a lot in my career that I wanted to do and accomplish.”
“I felt like things were really heavily reliant upon me, and I was getting no time to do any of the other offers that were out there.”
After leaving the show, Mischa landed a handful of acting roles, but it was her personal life and partying with Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie that made the headlines.
In 2007, she was arrested and charged after being found in possession of marijuana and over the alcohol driving limit and court-ordered to visit rehab and spend time with a sober coach.
Failing to fulfil the court order, she was admitted to a psychiatric ward under the 5150 act that deemed her a danger to herself.
The now 35-year-old said People: “It was a full-on breakdown. It was terrifying, straight out of Girl, Interrupted. Story of my life.”
The actress has since dabbled in reality TV starring on both the reboot of The Hills and Dancing With The Stars.

Rachel Bilson (Summer Roberts)
After playing Summer, Rachel went on to land the leading roles as Zoe Hart in Hart of Dixie which she played until 2015.
The actress also found success on the big screen, playing roles in films such a Jumper and Zach Braff's The Last Kiss.
In 2014 she and long term boyfriend Hayden Christensen welcomed a daughter they named Briar.
However, in September 2017, and after nearly 10 years together the couple split.
Rachel went on to date Bill Hader for less than a year before the relationship ended last July.
Looking back at The O.C. more than a decade later, she said: "It was such a special time," noting: "The characters were really well thought out, and there was so much chemistry between everyone."
She is so passionate about the show that she's even started a podcast with Melinda Clarke (who played Julie Cooper) called 'Welcome to the OC, bitches!', where they re-watch the episodes together and discuss.
Ben McKenzie (Ryan Atwood)
After wrapping on playing Ryan Atwood, Ben went on to star in Gotham, where he met his wife, co-star Morena Baccarin.
The couple married and are parents to a daughter named Frances and son Arthur.
Ryan also played the lead in a critically acclaimed police drama, Southland.
Tate Donovan (Jimmy Cooper)
Tate, who played Marissa Cooper's (often absent) dad, previously had Hollywood romances with A-List actors Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Aniston.
He even talk a role on Friends playing her character Rachel's boyfriend Joshua in an attempt to win her back when their two-year relationship came to an end.
He said of the decision, "It was so dumb. Just a bone-headed move. I was young and genuinely thought it would help, but there were times I'd just finish a scene and go sob in my trailer."
He married another actor – Corinne Kingsbury in 2004, but the pair split just a year after the end of the OC.
He's secured parts in Oscar-winning films Argo, Manchester by the Sea and Rocketman. While he plays an activist in Respect – a biopic on Aretha Franklin's life – which is currently in cinemas.
His skills don't end with acting – he has directed episodes of Gossip Girl and Glee and 30 for 30 Shorts, which he won an Emmy for.
Peter Gallagher (Sandy Cohen)
Peter left the OC to a solid TV career and has starred in shows such as The Good Wife, New Girl as Schmidt's dad, and Law and Order.
The actor has been married to Paula Harwood since May 1983. They share son James and daughter Kathryn.
Kelly Rowan (Kristen Cohen)
Kelly played the mum of the Cohen family, Kristen Cohen.
Her biggest job following the show was as a regular cast member on the US series Perception that ran for three seasons.
Kelly made headlines in June 2007 when she and Canadian billionaire David Thomson announced they were engaged, but they broke up before she gave birth to their daughter Braelin in 2008.
Will there be an OC reunion?
With the cast so busy working on their various projects, it's unlikely a reunion will happen any time soon.
Fox entertainment boss Michael Thorn previously confirmed that a show reunion is not in the works.
"The O.C. will not happen despite my deep passion for it to come back," he told Deadline. "No one is available, unfortunately."
