A tattoo fan has gone viral for inking her face with what fans thought were "freckles", only to realise they would not fade.
The woman, who goes by the name @jamiiee.2 on TikTok, shared a recent video of her new tats with the caption: “It’s fine they will fade.”
She has more than a dozen black dots spread out across both cheeks.
The clip ended with her exclaiming: “Nah, I think I f***ed up.”
In a previous video, she filmed how she inked her face herself by drawing the dots on a piece of paper before sticking them to her cheek.
The tattoo fanatic also responded to fans’ suggestions that she could just pick them off.
“So to the people who were just like, pick them off and pick the scabs off and they’ll be lighter,” she said.
“I picked one off and it looked like there was a literal hole in my face.”
Hundreds of followers have flocked to the comments section to voice their thoughts, with many saying they thought they were "freckles".
“If they don’t fade you can always make them hearts or stars,” one suggested.
But Jamie herself replied that they were in fact meant to be stars.
She chose her own star sign constellation on one cheek and her daughter’s star sign constellation on the other.
Another fan said: “Weirdly enough, it doesn’t look bad though. You’re just so pretty it doesn’t matter.”
A third offered another suggestion, adding: “As somebody with face tattoos – exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate. They fade pretty quickly no matter what.”
It is not the first time a woman has been left horrified by tattooing fake freckles onto her face.
Tilly Whitfield claimed she was left temporarily blinded and scarred after her DIY attempt when disastrously wrong.
She had seen a TikTok video where a beauty fan used a sewing needle to prick her skin with ink which reported results that lasted six months.
