DEAR DEIDRE: SINCE I befriended a woman at work, she has become obsessed with me.
I’m 25, she is 29 and we became friendly when she started working in my office three months ago.
At the time she seemed really nice, so I made an effort. But things quickly took a turn.
She suddenly became very pushy and started blowing up my phone every day, constantly asking to meet.
I’ve tried to distance myself from her, but she just won’t accept it.
She follows me around at work, whether it’s to the toilet or for my cigarette breaks.
I’ve tried blocking her, but she just makes new accounts.
I’m at a loss. How do I get her to back off?

DEIDRE SAYS: What started out as an innocent friendship has clearly turned into an unhealthy obsession.
It is clear that you are being harassed in and out of your workplace, so you can’t let this situation carry on.
It would be best if you report her to your manager, as there is no guarantee that the situation won’t escalate.
