The social media personality took to YouTube to share that she received her diagnosis one month ago in an emotional video

‘I have breast cancer, It’s very shocking, it’s very surreal. It doesn’t sound real, but it’s real,’ she said at the beginning of her video.

The 37-year-old explained that she discovered her diagnosis ‘a month ago.’

‘I’ve had a decent amount of time to process and start the process, so I’m finally ready to share with you,’ Grace added.

Grace said she was diagnosed with stage 2A triple-positive breast cancer, which is a form of breast cancer in which the tumor cells have estrogen receptors, progesterone receptors, and a larger than normal number of HER2 receptors, according to the National Cancer Institute.

The social media star said medical professionals told her it was ‘super treatable’ and ‘highly beatable.’

‘We’re going for cure, not remission here, which is exciting, encouraging, helpful, good,’ Grace added.

The 37-year-old revealed she would be undergoing six rounds of chemotherapy, surgery, and hormonal therapy.

She added that she has already begun undergoing the beginning stages of her treatment, before noting that it made everything feel ‘much more real.’

The cancer Grace is fighting: What is triple-positive breast cancer?

Triple-positive breast cancer is relatively uncommon

It means the tumor cells have estrogen receptors, progesterone receptors, and a larger than normal number of HER2 receptors

It can be treated with surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation and hormonal therapies

Due to its unique characteristics, therapies may not be as effective with this form of caner as it is with others

‘This whole thing has been a lot, to say the least.

‘I am feeling every feeling all day long.

‘But I am so incredibly thankful to have an amazing husband [Elliott Morgan] and… you’re really confronted with having to put yourself first.

‘And you need to let people help you.’

She detailed how she first found out she had cancer, adding that she noticed a ‘weird lump in my left breast.’

Although she was reluctant to tell her doctor about the lump, she eventually brought it to their attention.

‘I really had to talk myself into bringing it up to her in the appointment because I thought I was just a stupid little girl that didn’t know how girl bodies worked.

‘Thank God I listened to that little voice inside of me that finally got the courage to bring it up to her because she also thought it was abnormal,’ she explained.

Grace urged her over 2.6 million followers to get ‘those lumps checked.’

The social media personality’s diagnosis comes just two months after Hank Green revealed he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

She explained she had come back to social media after experiencing burnout and was excited to get back to creating content up until receiving her diagnosis

She explained that she had been communicating with Hank, adding that he has been ‘incredibly helpful.’

Grace said she was finding the humor in the situation to help herself cope with the devastating news.

She said: ‘Comedy, jokes, laughing, that all really helps me process very difficult things – and not from a place of denial or deflection about the reality, but rather from a place of aiding me through the hard s**t.

‘Laughing feels like it makes me breathe within a situation that I feel like I’m holding my breath. Like, this is a very serious situation, I know that. But there’s also some humor to be found here.

‘The joke’s not lost on me that I’ve spent 15 years not using my boobs to get attention on the internet and yet here we are. And that I’m announcing this during Cancer season.’

Grace said that her diagnosis came as she was finally beginning to regain her confidence.

She explained she had come back to social media after experiencing burnout and was excited to get back to creating content up until receiving her diagnosis.

‘I was really excited about the idea of starting to make content again from this healthier, more grounded place. And then I got breast cancer,’ she said.

Grace said fighting the cancer and undergoing treatment would now be her full-time ‘job.’

‘I’m going to fight this little b**** of a thing in my left breast as best and as strongly and as gracefully as I can,’ she revealed.

At the end of her video, the social media personality added: ‘The other immediate thing that you kind of learn in this process is that you cannot plan for the future.

‘You have to take it one step at a time. And this was the next step for me. I’m doing okay.

‘It was a hard few weeks after I found out, but I have the most amazing and supportive husband and family and friends, and I’m doing well and I’m ready to take this on.

‘And I know I can take this on. I just have to take it one step at a time.’
