AI supercomputer predicts where Wrexham will finish in their first season back in League Two… with Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s side gunning for a double promotion
- READ: Wrexham learned their fixtures for their first season back in League Two
- The Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney-owned side are targeting promotion
- Stockport County, Gillingham and Bradford City are all set to be title contenders
With the release of the League Two fixtures, teams like newly-promoted Wrexham and Notts County now know what stands between them and a double promotion next summer.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s Wrexham start their campaign at home against relegated MK Dons, while Notts County travel to Sutton United for their opener.
Both are among the favourites to go up once again, with Stockport County, who lost in last season’s play-off final, Bradford City, Gillingham and Mansfield Town all seen as promotion contenders.
But who exactly is being backed by the stats boffins to win the league and sail through to League One?
A supercomputer, via BonusCodeBets, has crunched the numbers to determine a final 2023-24 League Two table.

PROMOTION
League Two boasts three automatic promotion spots and a further one is available for the four teams battling it out in the play-offs.
It is Hollywood-backed Wrexham that have been tipped to win the league, with Stockport County in second and Notts County in the third and final automatic spot.
Both Wrexham and Notts County have players that are viewed as too good for the level, with the Magpies making a splash this summer by bringing back striker David McGoldrick, who has dropped a league to join from Derby.
Wrexham will again look to Paul Mullin, League Two Player of the Year prior to joining the Dragons a few seasons ago, to fire them to glory.
PLAY-OFF BATTLE
As for the four teams in the chasing pack, the supercomputer believes Mark Hughes’ Bradford City will be top of the play-offs, with competition from Gillingham, Mansfield Town and MK Dons.
Gillingham have sizeable investment behind them now following a takeover midway through last season, which helped stave off relegation fears.

Stockport County narrowly missed out in the play-off final last year but will again compete
MK Dons have brought in manager Graham Alexander, who Gary Neville has previously said he regrets sacking when he was at Salford, and are spending to ensure it is only a one-year stay in the fourth division.
Bradford have already managed to secure the services of 2022-23 League Two top scorer Andy Cook, while Mansfield Town are veteran campaigners and will likely challenge.
Neville’s Salford City are being tipped to be the team on the outside looking in, narrowly missing the play-off picture.
RELEGATION FIGHT
Unlike fellow relegated side MK Dons, not much hope is being held out for Morecambe.
They are being tipped to be one of the two teams relegated into non-league come the end of this upcoming League Two season.
But they aren’t predicted to come bottom by the supercomputer, with Harrogate Town handed that spot, something they will no doubt want to prove wrong.
