Arsenal star Alexandre Lacazette 'wanted by Jose Mourinho's Roma as ex-Spurs boss closes in on Chelsea's Tammy Abraham'

ARSENAL striker Alexandre Lacazette has emerged as a transfer target for Jose Mourinho's Roma, according to reports.

And it comes with the Serie A outfit reportedly closing in on Chelsea frontman Tammy Abraham.

Mourinho's side have proposed a £34million bid for Abraham, according to the Mail.

The deal is said to be a loan move with an option to buy.

But the West Londoners would prefer a permanent deal with Arsenal also keen on the 23-year-old.

The Blues are keen to cash in on the striker to raise funds for their imminent signing of Romelu Lukaku as Thomas Tuchel is not a fan.

Abraham only scored 12 goals last season and although he has rejected a move to Serie A side Atalanta this summer, he is said to be keen on working with former Tottenham boss Mourinho.

But Abraham is not the only London-based striker the Special One has his eye on, according to Gazetta dello Sport.

Lacazette, 30, has reportedly been highlighted as a replacement to Edin Dzeko who is closing to joining Inter to replace Lukaku.

The Frenchman has just a year left on his contract, with the North Londoners said to be keen on cashing in this summer.

But the main stumbling block is Lacazette's reported desire to play Champions League football.

And with Roma set to compete in the lowly Uefa Conference League alongside Tottenham, the prospect isn't said to be an attractive one to the ex-Lyon man.

WHEN YOUR LUK'S IN

Lukaku's £97.5m deal to take him back to Chelsea from Inter is reportedly 100 per cent done.

The Belgian forward flew to Monaco on Monday to continue finalising the deal at the headquarters of his agent, Federico Pastorello.

According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, he will soon head to London to seal the deal.

Chelsea have agreed a club-record fee with Inter after Lukaku hit 30 goals and won the Serie A title last season.

Medical tests began in Milan on Monday morning after swift negotiations over personal terms.

The 28-year-old was then spotted by reporters boarding a flight out of the Italian city, while also clutching a Blues shirt.

When asked about his future, he is quoted as saying: "I'll send a message to the Inter fans soon."
