A college football quarterback was shot in the chest and is in serious condition, according to his school.
Central Michigan’s John Keller sustained the injury at an off-campus party early Saturday morning, the university said.
Keller, 20, and another Central Michigan student, Tyler Bunting, were shot after a fight broke out at the party, the Detroit Free Press reported.
Bunting, 23, reportedly is in stable condition.
An investigation is ongoing, and no one is in custody, according to the Detroit Free Press.
A GoFundMe campaign is aiming to raise $30,000 to cover Keller’s medical bills.
Keller came to Central Michigan after spending his first season at Cincinnati. He sat out last season due to NCAA transfer rules at the time.
