Christian Eriksen has spoken to his Denmark team-mates from hospital following his shock collapse during his country’s Euro 2020 match with Finland.
The 29-year-old needed urgent CRP treatment after going down unchallenged during the first-half of the match in Copenhagen, leaving his team-mates, his wife Sabrina Kvist and Denmark’s supporters in tears on the pitch.
Eriksen was seen sitting up whilst being carried off the stadium and the Danish FA have confirmed that he has been stabilised in hospital.

His agent, Martin Schoots, says he is able to breathe and talk while Peter Moller, technical director of Denmark, told Danish TV that he has spoken to the rest of the squad.
‘He collapsed and got help and heart treatment on the field,’ Moller told DR. ‘Luckily, he was fortunately awake when he left the stadium. Our thoughts are with Christian’s parents and his family.’
‘Football is not the most important thing now, but we will finish the game for Christian.’
Eriksen is now able to speak and breathe, says to his agent, and his father and wife are with him
Agent Schoots told Dutch radio NPO 1: ‘I just spoke to Eriksen’s father and he told me that he is breathing and that he can talk. That is the news with which we are happy, in these circumstances. That’s all I know.
‘Everyone is in shock, that is logical. His partner is now with him in the hospital.’
Denmark’s players formed a circle around Eriksen to protect his privacy while the midfielder was being resuscitated on the Copenhagen pitch.
Eriksen’s wife, Sabrina Kvist, rushed down to the pitch and had to be consoled by the player’s team-mates when his situation was unclear.

The match was temporarily called off just after 6pm and minutes later, Eriksen was seen sitting up whilst being stretchered off whilst wearing an oxygen mask.
When news emerged that the midfielder was in a ‘stabilised’ condition, both Denmark and Finland players agreed to complete the game at 7.30pm UK time.
Another statement from the Danish FA read: ‘Christian Eriksen is AWAKE and is undergoing further examinations at Rigshospitalet.
‘The match against Finland will be played tonight (Saturday). This happens after the players have been confirmed that Christian is okay. The match resumes at 20.30.’
UEFA confirmed that both sets of players wanted the game to resume on Saturday night.
