Eric Bristow may not be the only darts legend to join the cast of 'I'm A Celebrity. . .Get Me Out of Here!' after Phil Taylor expressed in interest in joining the jungle cast.
The 63-year-old recently confirmed his intention to retire from the oche next year after a farewell tour. And he'll need something to do with his time when he brings the curtain down on the most successful career of any player in darts history.
Taylor has been watching the latest season of the ITV reality show and has taken a shining to former UKIP leader and bumbling broadcaster Nigel Farage. But more than simply viewing from the sidelines, the 14-time world champion is keen to get involved after turning down the opportunity in the past.

During a recent appearance on GBNews' Patrick Christys Tonight, 'The Power' said: “I did an interview with them [the show's producers' a few years ago, but at the time I couldn't possibly have done it because of the World Championships and tournaments that were around.
“Now I would. I would jump at the chance. I think Nigel’s done brilliantly, he’s come in and everyone seems to like Nigel, not just me but the general public themselves. If you want to stick a tenner bet on, put it on Nigel. He’s done well."

It's up for debate as to just how accurate Taylor's depiction of public opinion on Farage, particularly after the right-wing commentator was selected to take part in this season's first Jungle Trial. The 59-year-old is reportedly being paid £1.5million for his Australian expedition, which could be another reason Taylor is seemingly so eager to follow suit.
Taylor went on to say he watches a lot of Farage's musings on TikTok and likes that the key Brexit orchestrator 'says it as it is'.
“Nigel Farage is good at politics. I like him. I'd vote for him if he was Prime Minister, trust me," he continued. “Seriously, he’s honest. That's what I like but he doesn't pull any punches. He says it's how it is and that's what I love about him."

Former rival Bristow participated in the 2012 edition of the show and came fourth overall. 'The Crafty Cockney' encountered some criticism for rude behaviour toward his fellow contestants but won over much of the public with some sterling Bushtucker Trial performances.
That set a high bar for what's expected of the darts dynasty should Taylor follow in the late star's footsteps and compete in a future season of the show. However, he may not be as enthused about taking part should his favourite Farage be subject to frequent torment in the weeks to come.
