DILLIAN WHYTE has a 'great chance' of becoming the first man to beat the untouchable Tyson Fury.
The Brixton Body Snatcher is on course to challenge his old sparring partner for the WBC heavyweight title early next year.
Whyte's chances of handing the 6ft9in Gypsy King his first loss have already been written off by many, but promoter Eddie Hearn is adamant he can upset the applecart.
He wrote in his BBC column: "We await official confirmation of the split for that fight, but it's almost nailed on we will see Fury vs Whyte in the Spring of 2022.
"It's a great fight between two British heavyweights for the WBC and Ring magazine title.
"I believe Dillian has a great chance of pulling off a shock."
Fury's long-time co-promoter Frank Warren, however, reckons Whyte will get taken to school by his old sparring partner.
He recently told The Daily Star: "Tyson Fury has been ordered to enter negotiations with Dillian Whyte for a defence of his WBC heavyweight title.

"And that’s exactly what we are doing now – discussing what could be the perfect homecoming for the Gypsy King.
"Tyson has no fear of taking on any challenger so once the decision was made by the WBC we were ready for it.
"He has already beaten the most dangerous puncher in the division twice – three times if you count the first fight he was robbed of a win in – so why would anyone pose a threat to him?
"Whyte will get his chance once we come to an agreement on a deal and he will get to see what elite level heavyweight boxing is."
Both parties are currently going back and forth over the fighters' respective splits of the purse.
And Hearn is adamant Whyte should receive more than the 80-20 split that's currently being discussed.
He told Fight Hype: “Well, I think, you know, what we really need to know is what’s the split gonna be, because that really reflects on the negotiation process for that fight.

“So, we would like to put a major offer in to stage that fight. Obviously, Top Rank will be as well.
''And we certainly don’t rule out doing a deal.
"But it has to be the right deal for Dillian Whyte and yet it has to be a fair reflection of his value in that fight.”
