England World Cup star completes shock £8.5m transfer to Championship club | The Sun

LEICESTER have completed a stunning move for England international Conor Coady.

The Wolves captain spent the last season on loan at Everton.

But after returning to his parent club, Coady discovered he had no future under Julen Lopetegui.

And new Leicester boss Enzo Maresca has now pounced to add the World Cup ace to his Championship squad.

Coady isn't the first England international to join the Foxes, with Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks also signing in a £10million transfer.

Leicester have paid an up-front fee of £7.5m for Coady, with Wolves receiving a further £1m through add-ons.

"I've played against the Club numerous times and it's so, so hard playing against Leicester City. That's something we need to take into the season.

"This place is incredible, I think it's the best training ground I've ever seen in my life. It's got absolutely everything so there's no excuses for us going forward into the new campaign.

"Knowing a few of the lads here as well and how they speak of the Football Club, but looking at Leicester City as a whole, it's such an exciting place to be.

Meanwhile, SunSport can exclusively reveal Leicester are on the trail of England U21 goalkeeper James Trafford.

The Man City kid, who spent last season on loan with League One Bolton, has starred at the Under 21 Euros.

But Leicester are yet to indicate whether they want to loan a new goalie this summer or sign one on a permanent deal.
