A FURIOUS Manchester United fan has slammed the club after they refused to remove Mason Greenwood’s name from the back of his son’s shirt.
Westley Reilly, a lifelong Red Devils fan, wanted to change the name on the back of his son Finnley's shirt after getting a Greenwood top at the start of this season.
Striker Greenwood, 20, has spent two nights in a police cell after cops swooped over the rape and GBH claims on Sunday morning.
He was then further arrested today on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill as cops were granted more time to quiz him.
Westley, 41, from Chadderton, Oldham, forked out £135 for a full kit for the Man U-mad youngster at the beginning of the season.
But after the allegations against the star striker came to light, the dad contacted the club to see if he could get the name changed or removed.
He claims that the club have said there is “nothing they can do” as he purchased the kit more than 90 days previously.
Speaking to The Sun he said: “I’m not asking them for a refund or anything like that, I wouldn’t expect them to do that.
“But given everything that has happened I do think they should let fans change the names without charge.

“We have spoken to Finnley and he doesn’t want his name on his shirt anymore.
“There are people who aren’t in a position to be able to buy another shirt, or a whole kit because of the expense.
“It’s only from the beginning of the season, not before, so I don’t see how the 90 days should matter really.
“I have complained to the club, but I haven’t heard anything back yet. They should change it for anyone who wants them.
“Fans, and lifelong fans too, have bought kits for years. A simple change of a name should be allowed in this instance in these circumstances."
It is understood that the club is considering exchanging shirts for those with Greenwood on the back, but are unable to change the name on an existing top.
Angry fans turned up at the club's megastore at Old Trafford following Greenwood's initial arrest demanding refunds for kit featuring the striker's name and number 11.
United has taken down all Greenwood merch from their website – with any search for his name drawing a blank.
The club’s official partner Cadbury said Greenwood won't appear on any of their marketing products.
Sponsor TeamViewer also announced that they are "closely monitoring developments".
'DISTURBING ALLEGATIONS'
Sportswear giant Nike, which provides the striker's boots, have suspended their sponsorship with the star.
The brand said in a statement: "We have suspended our relationship with Mason Greenwood.
"We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation."
Greenwood has worn Nike boots since breaking into United’s first team in 2019.
He has been suspended indefinitely by his club after being arrested on suspicion of rape and GBH following a series of allegations posted online.
Crime scene investigators from Greater Manchester Police were seen parked outside the footballer’s house in Bowdon, Greater Manchester, on Sunday afternoon.
The Premier League club initially said it did “not condone violence of any kind" and later suspended the £75,000-a-week star as a police probe was launched.
A spokesman for the club said: “Mason Greenwood will not return to training or play matches until further notice.”
The images and allegations were reportedly visible on the woman's Instagram on Sunday morning, but have since been deleted.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were made aware of online social media images and videos posted by a woman reporting incidents of physical violence.
"An investigation was launched and following enquiries we can confirm a man in his 20s has since been arrested on suspicion of rape and assault.
"He remains in custody for questioning. Enquiries are ongoing."
