NOVEL LEGEND looks a big price for the Cesarewitch despite not firing in extremely testing conditions for the Irish version last time.
I’m not giving up on the James Fanshawe runner who kicked off the season with an excellent second in the Chester Plate at their May meeting.
He then went to Royal Ascot where he got the worst of a barging match turning for home that forced him out wide.
He ended up on the inside where he finished strongly into seventh but the winner had gone.
Then came another good effort when second over two miles before Newbury before he bagged a deserved win at Goodwood last time where he stayed strongly.
Hopefully connections won’t be put off by his more modest show at The Curragh last time as he’s 4lb lower in this and looks a cracking each-way price with plenty of 20-1 about.

He was third in the Ebor before dropping back to 1m4f for a solid effort in a German Group 1 last time.
He was poor when running in the 2021 Cesarewitch but that was coming at the end of a long season and he’s improved since.
He would have plenty of weight but wouldn’t be the worst 20-1 shot for each-way punters.
