Tom Brady’s NFL career is officially over, no matter how many times the media and fans try to resuscitate it.
The future Hall of Famer reiterated his pledge to walk away from football at his unofficial retirement party on Thursday, which doubled as a promotion for his NFT brand, Autograph.
‘There is nothing I love more than football,’ Brady said. ‘But I have young children and they watched enough of their dad’s games and it’s time for me to watch their games.’
Brady’s current retirement has already outlasted his first attempt, which spanned only 40 days before he decided to return for a 23rd NFL Season in March of 2022.
NFL Network host Rich Eisen recently suggested the seven-time Super Bowl winner ‘might not be done,’ only to have Brady immediately shut down the rumors on Twitter.

‘Anyone who thinks I have time to come back to the NFL has never adopted a 2 month old kitten for their daughter,’ he said.
Brady ‘s daughter Vivian hacked the former NFL quarterback’s Instagram account last month to share some pictures of their newly-adopted Siamese kittens.
Brady, who has two children with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, including Vivian and 13-year-old son, Benjamin, initially revealed that he adopted several kittens earlier in February.
‘Vivi wins again,’ the three-time NFL MVP shared on Instagram, alongside a video of his new cats play-fighting. ‘Thanks @loganryan and @coolmbreezy this is what my mornings are like now. @humansocietytampa they are in good, loving hands.’
Brady has also expressed an interest in his eldest son Jack’s budding high school football career. Jack lives in the New York area with his mother, Brady’s ex-girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan.
Long-time teammate Rob Gronkowski has also shut down rumors of a Brady return, telling Boston.com last week that ‘Tom is definitely totally done playing.’
‘I haven’t talked to him or anything about it. I’m not speaking for Tom,’ Gronkowski said. ‘Just from everything I saw from his retirement video and everything I just feel like he is just done playing football. It was just very shocking though when I heard that news the other day.’
