JORGE MASVIDAL called Colby Covington a 'bitch' and insisted he 'really wants to hurt this guy' after rematching Kamaru Usman.
Masvidal, who was beaten by Usman in July, will face the welterweight champion for a second time, headlining UFC 261 on April 24.
It meant a grudge match with former best-friend-turned enemy Covington was shelved.
But Masvidal promised to one day settle the score with his ex-training partner, and do so in more dramatic style than his 2019 five-second knockout against Ben Askren.
He told ESPN: "I really wanna hurt this guy in a way that I've never done.
"I want to make it seem like the Ben Askren fight was very merciful compared to what I'm gonna do to Colby. Guaranteed.
"And that fight will take place, but when I the f*** I say so."
The welterweight rivals were in talks to fight this year, but after Usman, 33, called out Masvidal, 36, in February, the rematch was confirmed.
Masvidal revealed his second crack at the title was always in the works, as he opened up on why he is not fighting Covington, 33.
He said: “The Colby deal was we already knew we had the Usman fight, They already told me, ‘Hey, you have the Usman fight.’

“Because I’ve already been beating the crap out of Colby for God knows how long.
"I’m gonna beat the crap out of him, too, before my career is done."
