Devon Allen doesn’t know what to do with his hands — but if he continues to run as well as he did in Tuesday’s 110-meter hurdle semifinals, he can use them to hold an Olympic medal.
Allen, a former wide receiver and track star for the Oregon Ducks, automatically qualified for Wednesday’s final by finishing first in his semifinal race. He finished with a time of 13.18, second overall behind only fellow American Grant Holloway (13.13).
But Allen’s performance, impressive as it was, wasn’t limited to competition. He also gave viewers a show before and after winning his heat, starting with an homage to Ricky Bobby:

But Allen wasn’t done there — not by a long shot. He then did the “mom” and “wow” move:
