DOMINIK SZOBOSZLAI celebrated qualifying for Euro 2024 by downing a huge shot with Hungary fans.

The Liverpool midfielder climbed into the stands to join supporters after his country's final qualifier.


Hungary beat Montenegro 3-1 in Budapest on Sunday, with Szoboszlai scoring twice.

The result saw Hungary finish qualifying unbeaten as they topped their group ahead of Serbia, Montenegro, Lithuania and Bulgaria.

Marco Rossi's side confirmed their place in Germany on Thursday with a draw in Bulgaria and will be joined by runners-up Serbia.

After Sunday's win, Szoboszlai was seen joining supporters in the crowd at the Puskas Arena.

He was caught on camera raising a clear bottle in the air before downing a huge shot of its contents.

As fans around him cheered, the 23-year-old grimaced and shook his head before speaking into a microphone.

Szoboszlai is set to captain Hungary at their fifth Euros next summer after missing the previous edition in 2021 through injury.

His side have extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches by completing qualifying without defeat.

Hungary were last beaten by Italy in the Nations League back in September 2022.

Szoboszlai's brace against Montenegro takes his international tally to 10 in 38 caps, with four of those coming in Euro 2024 qualifying.

He will now return to Merseyside to meet back up with his Liverpool team-mates.

The Reds are back in Premier League action on Saturday as they visit Manchester City in a crucial clash at the Etihad Stadium.
