Mahomes Sr. 50, was a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Minnesota Twins after being drafted in 1988.
He made his official debut in 1992 with the team and stayed for five years until he was traded to the Boston Red Sox.
After the Red Sox, Mahomes Sr. played with the New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, and Pittsburgh Pirates until 2003.
He officially retired in 2009.

Mahomes Sr. married Randi Martin, 45, in the late 1990’s.
