Adam Barlow’s (Sam Robertson) mental health continues to struggle during ongoing stresses in Coronation Street.
After Sarah’s (Tina O’Brien) affair was revealed, Adam agreed with the idea of rebuilding their marriage. However, due to Damon (Ciaran Griffiths) still being on the cobbles and often taking great pleasure in winding Adam up about his fling with Sarah, he found it incredibly difficult to get back to normality.
In Wednesday’s (July 12) edition of the ITV soap, Adam was seen in court with Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown). While he tried to keep calm and in control, Adam’s emotions got the better of him, resulting in a panic attack.

As well as dealing with the affair, Adam also discovered Sarah’s pregnancy recently and was faced with the prospect of Damon being the father and not him.
It’s becoming a dad that triggers another panic attack for Adam soon, as a fellow solicitor congratulates him on Sarah’s pregnancy and growing his family.
As Adam’s mental health takes a turn, will he open up to anyone about what’s going on?
‘It’s tough and it’s challenging to play out but it’s important to show how stress can get on top of anyone’, Sam Robertson told us.
‘It’s a tough time for Adam, he’s fighting off issues left, right and centre and it’s just overwhelming him at times. Everything just seems to be imploding around him but he’s his own boss, he knows he can’t just check out and have a week off to get his head straight but he’s struggling to work through it.’
