AFTER Life landed on Netflix for its third and final season last week, but one cast member has insisted that the end is not in sight.
Widower and straight-talking Tony Johnson returned for After Life’s final chapter last Friday, with fans devastated that the show was coming to an end.
However, actress Jo Hartley – who portrays June – has teased that the cast could “definitely do more” with the sitcom in the future.
Speaking at a recent press event, Jo and her on-screen partner Lenny – played by Tony Clay – opened up on filming the final season.
She recalled: “I was watching it last night and I was like, ‘We could definitely do more.'
“I didn't think about it when I was filming, I just went in and enjoyed the present moment.
“I tried not to think about what was coming or whatever – I tried to just really enjoy and savour it all.”
Jo also teased that a Christmas special of the show could be on the cards after reassuring words from the man himself, Ricky Gervais.
She added: “I know that we'll all work with Ricky again, he said it the other night.”
“I think he's finished it at the right time, but I think he could do a Christmas special.”
Ricky has previously said that he won't rule out making another series – but only if Netflix keeps putting money on the table.
