Bradley Walsh was left flabbergasted when he learned that a player on The Chase was retired at a young age.
He spoke to player Bernadette about what she did and she explained that she had been a school teacher at one point.
Bradley, 60, said: "Welcome to the show Bernadette. From Liverpool, born and bred?"
He was left shocked as she explained that she was returned as he remembered that Bernadette had said that she was just 46.
"You're very young to retire," he said, prompting a response from the quizzer.
Bernadette grinned a huge smile and replied: "Some people are just lucky that way."
And it seems being retired has left Bernadette with plenty of time on her hands to do some new things.
She explained that she was hoping to travel to Provence with any money she won to create her own perfume.
"I want a signature scent, Bradley," she said.
Luckily for her, that dream could very well become a reality as she and the team managed to beat Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan in the final round.

Bernadette had added a healthy £3,000 to the prize pot in her cash builder round, too.
Earlier this week, Bradley was left in fits of giggles over a cheeky innuendo in one of the questions' multiple choice answers.
While contestant Jan was going up against Anne "The Governess" Hegerty, the question was: "Who became the governor of Idaho in 2007?"
Of course, the question is completely innocent, however things got a bit naughty when Bradley read the potential answers.
They were: Butch Otter, Sturdy Muskrat, or Gritty Beaver.
But Bradley didn't even manage to get the answers out as he burst into laughter as soon as he saw option C.
Anne quickly pressed her button even before he had finished reading the answers, which he told her off for.
But she said that they'd have run out of time otherwise as he was laughing too much.
It turned out the answer was Butch Otter, in case you were wondering.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV
