Jacob (Charles Venn) has a shock in tonight’s Casualty, when Tina (Adele James) reappears in the ED as an agency nurse.
Since Iain (Michael Stevenson) warned her off after she attacked Jacob she hasn’t been seen in the department, and Jacob has been fending off texts from her, saying he’s not ready to meet.
So when she walks in, wearing her uniform and freshly-applied lipstick, he’s not sure how to deal with it.
Robyn (Amanda Henderson), Marty (Shaheen Jafargholi) and others are pleased to see Tina back, because so far only Iain knows what really happened between her and Jacob. But it’s not long before Tina’s friendly facade begins to break down and Jacob realises he’s out of his depth.
What he’s really not ready for is how desperate Tina has become, and the absolutely shocking lengths she’ll go to to get his attention. When a patient’s life is threatened, Jacob has to confront how disturbed Tina really is. But can he get through to her before someone dies?
New paramedic Sah (Arin Smethurst) has certainly picked an eventful day for a first shift, but they seem more than up for the task. Teddy (Milo Clarke) takes it upon himself to make Sah feel welcome, even though his efforts might sometimes be a bit misguided.
While Teddy isn’t busy putting out the red carpet for Sah, he’s trying to help mend his Auntie Jan (Di Botcher)’s relationship with her wife Ffion (Stirling Gallacher). Since Ffion received her cancer diagnosis, Jan has been longing for Ffion to let her back in to her life.
