Celebs are looking for lasting love just like the rest of us – and a new batch of would-be romantics are ready to bare their hearts as reality TV hit Celebs Go Dating returns.
Matchmakers Paul C Brunson and Anna Williamson are joined by Tom Read Wilson again as they open the doors to their agency.
And while they play Cupid, fans will see new sides to some of the UK’s most talked-about stars.
Here, TOWIE’s Chloe Brockett, 21, who is joining the likes of Made In Chelsea’s Miles Nazaire, Geordie Shore’s Marty McKenna and Married At First Sight’s Nikita Jasmine on the show, tells us why she signed up and what she’s hoping to get out of the experience.
Hi Chloe. Why have you joined the agency this year?
A lot of my friends are older than me, they’ve got boyfriends and they’ve settled down. I’d like someone to do these things with. I’ve never really had a proper boyfriend and if I have had one, they’ve not been very good anyway. So I think I’d love someone who’d be able to treat me nice and I won’t feel like a third wheel when I’m out with the girls.
Why do you think you’re still single?
I don’t think I need help, I know I need help. I need help so badly. I always go for the wrong boys. I’m sure you’ve seen who I’ve dated in the past. They’re not exactly the best, are they? I think I end up mothering guys I date instead of being in a relationship with them. I had a fling with Lockie that was just a bit of fun. I don’t just want a bit of fun. I want someone I can be with and go on holiday with and have lovely experiences with.

Are you worried you have a reputation thanks to TOWIE?
Oh, 100%. I think a lot of people see me on TOWIE and think I can be a bit intimidating, and I can completely get why. I’m quite an intimidating character. I can be b***hy. I’ve got good one-liners, don’t get me wrong. But I don’t walk around giving off one-liners. Sometimes I just want someone to give me a cuddle. But often people don’t get close enough because they’re terrified of me.
Why do you think you have that b***hy side to your personality?
It’s definitely a guard. Since I joined TOWIE, I’ve fallen out with loads of different people. It’s almost been like a defence mechanism for me to just have my guard up and have people be a bit intimidated by me. But really, when I’m at home, I feel like I’m a completely different person. I am a real person with feelings. I just think it’s hard for some people to see past TOWIE Chloe and see the real Chloe.
So, do you think this show might help you reveal a different side?
I would love to show a different side to me. I think it will be hard for me to open up and cry, and stuff like that. I cried once to my mum on the show and that was a big deal for me.
