There have been some shocking pairings in the Emmerdale lately, and Charity (Emma Atkins) is well known for her own strange taste in men (Chris Tate, Tom King, Cain Dingle, for goodness’ sake). But good grief does her latest choice in a potential bedfellow take the biscuit.
Before we even get onto this shock pairing, let’s remind ourselves how Charity made another poor decision recently when she romped on the floor with her cheating ex Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) while Chloe (Jessie Elland) desperately tried to organise the Christening.
Despite Charity thinking it was reigniting things between them, Mackenzie made it crystal clear that their relationship was dead and buried, leaving her heartbroken all over again. But instead of blabbing about Mack’s infidelity, Charity vowed to move on.

As Dua Lipa once wisely said, if you’re under him, you ain’t getting over him, so she formulates a plan. The best way to get over someone is to get under another – which is what her plan entails.
She accepts Gail’s dare to proposition the next person to enter the Woolpack. And who should it be? Why, it’s Dr Love himself. Liam! The exam table in the surgery is barely cold (although we hope it’s been sterilised) from all the sex with Wendy when Liam finds himself in the clutches of Charity. She makes her move, and books them a date.
Liam (Jonny McPherson) accepts the date and the couple later head to The Hide for an evening of romance.
And unexpectedly, it goes incredibly well. Liam is won over by Charity’s charm and finds himself forgetting about Wendy (Susan Cookson) and picturing himself getting up to no good with Charity.
Is this the latest bonkers couple to hit the village?
