Coronation Street: Carla Connor fires Stephen Reid
Coronation Street’s Jenny Connor (played by Sally Ann Matthews) might look like she’s had the wool pulled over her eyes by evil Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) but some fans think her new relationship with the killer could all be part of a revenge plan.
Stephen first killed earlier in the year when Leo Thompkins (Joe Frost) rumbled his money-making scheme and so the Canadian pushed him off a balcony to his death.
Since then, he has gone on to murder a few other residents who stood in his way in the ITV soap.
Jenny happened to be with Leo at the time and the pair were planning to move to Canada, but Stephen convinced Jenny her boyfriend had left her.
He’s had his eye on Jenny for a long time and now the two are a couple – but could Jenny be playing the long game?

Fans quickly took to social media to express their shock over the relationship, however some theorised Jenny could end up being the one to have the last laugh.
Twitter user @TwellyWatcher penned: “Imagine a plot twist where Jenny is dating Stephen secretly knowing about his murders so is ‘dating’ him – or even better, she’s the one to take him out and kill him.”
@RossG_kiernan asked: “Does Jenny know or at least suspect something in regards to Stephen #Corrie.”
“Jenny won’t be killed off,” @DavidBoink assured.

Jenny and Stephen are now a couple and fans have been worried about her ever since the relationship began.
Friday’s episode saw the two happily walking around hand-in-hand and Jenny even suggested they go away together.
To make things more frightening, she even asked Stephen to move into her B&B room.
“Can Tim (Metcalfe, Joe Duttine) just chuck you out?” she asked before Stpehen replied: “Show me where it says he can’t.”
“Well look, this might be the biggest mistake we’ve ever made, but you could always move in here if you’re desperate,” she offered.
“It’s only until you find somewhere,” Jenny added.
Could Jenny really be secretly planning her revenge on evil Stephen?
Coronation Street continues on Monday at 8pm on ITV.
