Dancing On Ice star Connor Ball reveals who is his biggest competition admitting he's 'jealous' of rivals

DANCING On Ice star Connor Ball has revealed his biggest competition and admitted that he's "jealous" of his rivals.

The bass guitarist, 25 – who is part of popular boyband The Vamps – is one of 12 celebrities taking part in 14th series of the ITV show early next year.

The musician has already seen a few of his competitors show off their skills on the ice and has his eyes on a few he sees as his biggest rivals.

Connor exclusively told The Sun Online: "I think I Kye and Regan are actually really good because even on the first step day we did, I was with them two… and I was like, how are they this level already?!

"Which is pretty mad… so I'm kind of jealous."

Despite seeing the BMX star and Paul Gascoigne's son as his main competition, all of the celebs are getting on really well and even have their own WhatsApp group.

He added: "It's cool because we've actually got a group chat with all the contestants together in it, and we're planning drinks.

"So no one's like, 'I hate them and I want to beat everyone'.

"It's actually really cool. It's becoming like a little community already, which is really nice."

The star – who is partnered up with former 2019 champion Alexandra Schauman for his stint on the show – confessed that it has been way harder than he thought.

Connor said: "When it's going good, it's great and I really like it.

"I'm enjoying learning something new because it's been a while since I've picked up like or tried to pick up a new skill anyway.

"So that's that's cool. It's completely different for me. I've never really skated, I've never danced, so that's a whole other thing!"

He added: "It is a struggle. It's way harder than I thought. When you look at it, people make it look easy.

"That's how skilled they are because they're making all these really hard things look easy. So I want to get to that point where I can move and it looks like I'm not struggling."

After a hard session on the ice rink, Connor admitted that he loves to wind down by playing games such as Call of Duty on his PC.

He confessed: "I come back and I kind of sit down, and be like I'll have an hour on here and eight hours pass and I'm like, 'oh, it's dark outside.'

"But yeah, it is good after ice-skating because my body is killing!"

The self-confessed gamer recently joined forces with Samsung to be part of their upcoming event Samsung KX: All Access Gaming, which will take place on 13 November 2021.

The "ultimate gaming event" allows guests to supercharge their gaming strategies, watch the pros battle it out and also get access to an event panel with hosts Chelcee Grimes and Elle Osili-Wood.

Connor told us: "The event is really cool. We're going to be bringing like a lot of cool gamers and talented gamers, not myself, but other people together to play some some games against each other.

"It's gonna be really fun!"
