Brian Conley was ‘nervous’ acting in front of Prince Charles
EastEnders’ Brian Conley has reportedly quit the soap, telling bosses he wants to be written out “as soon as possible,” reports The Sun.
Tom “Rocky” Cotton star Brian has apparently made the drastic decision following a disagreement with soap executives.
An insider told the publication: “It looks as though he’s just not enjoying being on EastEnders anymore — and has been telling a lot of colleagues and telly friends he wanted out for a while.
“It’s all come to a head, and at the National TV Awards last week he was pretty open with co-stars and friends about his exit.”
They went on to add BBC bosses are “furious” about the swift exit request.

The source continued: “They’d made so many plans around him and his character, and they really thought he was in for the long haul.
“There has been a lot said in private about him messing up their plans.
“Whatever has wound him up, it feels like he can’t get out of there quick enough — and now they’re going to have to rewrite their storyline plans for his rapid exit.”
They went on to suggest the highly-anticipated Christmas Day death may have to be changed to Tom because of the disagreement.

The Sun reports being told: “If Brian wants out, it makes sense to switch it around.”
When approached by Express.co.uk, a source said: “There are many rumours and theories circulating about whose body is under the Christmas tree but, to not spoil the drama for the audience, we will not be commenting on any speculation.”
Could the curveball mean the soap will have to change the identity of the murder victim?
Back in February, EastEnders aired a first-of-its-kind flash-forward episode that revealed a male character had died.
Six of Walford’s women were gathered around the unidentified dead body on the floor of The Vic.
With Brian’s exit potentially changing plans, the air of mystery surrounding the plot could be ruined.
Brian recently spoke himself about the Christmas Day episode, explaining it would be a “big name”.
Speaking to the aforementioned publication, he explained it was going to be a key character before adding: “None of us know who it is, we all have our suspicions.
“I do know certain things, filming at the moment is pretty much coming up to Christmas, we’re at the end of November.
“All I know is that it’s going to be very exciting and it’s going to literally blow everyone away.”
