MAX Branning's revenge scheme hits a snag in EastEnders when he's overheard by Ricky and Amy Mitchell.
The businessman – who is played by actor Jake Wood in the BBC soap – has vowed vengeance on everyone in Walford after he was framed for Lucy Beale's murder, but his scheme could be put into danger when his niece and nephew overhear his machinations.
With his plan to frame brother Jack for a vicious assault on Charlie Cotton, causing him to nearly lose custody of baby step-son Matthew, Max has to step in to make it a certainty.
As Honey offers to help Jack by taking the kids to the park, she has a run in with Charlie but she embraces her inner Mitchell and sends him packing.
But later Charlie goes to Jack and admits he has told social services of his plans to go for residency of Matthew, leaving Jack devastated.
As Stacey Branning tries to get through to Jack to make him see the reality of his situation, he ignores her and takes drastic action.
But when Max learns of his plans, he tries to reason with Jack, unaware that his scheming is being overheard by Jack's children Ricky and Amy.
