The mystery of the Christmas murder has had EastEnders viewers on tenterhooks for months, with more clues being slowly dropped as the fateful day draws nearer.
One huge talking point after that iconic flash forward was the fact that Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) was dressed in a blood stained wedding dress.
With Sharon having later accepted a proposal from beau Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), we can only assume that he is the man she is set to marry. But this is soap, and everything could still change between now and then.
Actor Danny Walters remains optimistic for a Sheanu wedding, pointing out that Sharon has always been his ‘number one’ and a wedding between them would be ‘iconic’.
‘[Letitia Dean is] an absolute queen. She’s an icon. She’s fantastic. And I think the way I’ve always played Keanu is Sharon is his number one. He’s so tunnel vision when it comes to stuff like that.

‘Obviously, we saw a little blip with Keanu with Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) at one point. Keanu’s had other relationships, but it’s always been Sharon and it always will be Sharon for Keanu and the way I’m playing the character. So it would be quite iconic.
‘It would be beautiful to have a wedding with Letitia Dean, or Sharon Watts, on the Square, and she can be a Sharon Taylor! That would be quite cool.’
While we would love to see Keanu and Sharon finally tie the knot, it does put Keanu in prime position to be the body on the floor this Christmas.
With Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin) set to return to the Square and rock the boat for him and Sharon, Keanu could be set to stack up a few more enemies as he strives to get her off his back.
Should he be worried about ending up dead on the Queen Vic floor?
‘I think, in fantastic EastEnders style, over the months you’ll see a lot more conflicting relationships with other characters,’ Danny teased, ‘and I think there won’t just be Keanu, but there’ll be other characters that will get themselves in situations where we’ll start to question, “Could it be them?”
‘But, regarding that topic, my lips are sealed still! I wish I could say, but I actually don’t know as well, so there’s that!’
Looks like we’ll have to keep are eyes peeled for even more clues…
