Emmerdale: Mary and Faye enjoy family meal
Emmerdale’s Mary Goskirk (played by Louise Jameson) came out as gay last June when she unexpectedly opened up to Kim Tate (Claire King) about her sexuality.
Mary and Faye (Jane Gurnett) shared a passionate kiss on the ITV soap in recent weeks and have taken their romance to the next level since.
However, on Thursday’s hour-long instalment of Emmerdale, Faye told her lover she needs to return to Ecuador to help run a women’s refuge.
Mary was left in a spin as she begged Faye to stay in Yorkshire, but she insisted she had to leave the country.
She later asked if Mary would come with her, leaving the Emmerdale stalwart in a difficult position.
Mary later opened up to Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) about what was stopping her from following Faye abroad.
Suzy admitted to Mary she regrets not following Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) to Canada even though she knows she’ll return to Emmerdale.
The conversation left Mary with food for thought but later on, Faye told her there had been a fire at the women’s refuge she helps.
Mary proposed a fundraiser as she’s desperate to help out, but ITV spoilers have confirmed Faye is nothing more than a con artist.
