Emmerdale's Olivia Bromley has secret talent off-screen – and it's worlds away from playing Dawn Taylor

EMMERDALE's Olivia Bromley has launched a music career away from the ITV soap.

The actress, who plays show favourite Dawn Taylor, is pursuing her secret talents off-screen as one part of a five-piece band.

She can play violin and piano and is the lead singer in the London-based band Damsen.

They bill themselves on Facebook as: "London 5-piece Damsen create a spacious world where hazy vocals soar across downtempo rhythms and sleek guitar riffs."

Their "dreamy" sound is said to be reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac.

Olivia released two songs, Something Good and This Isn’t Love, with Damsen in 2020 which are available to listen to on Spotify.

She showed off her musical talent after she took part in The Woolpack Sessions, along with co-star Dean Andrews, who plays her onscreen dad Will Taylor.

She previously said she admired Dean's voice, too.

“I suppose we’re like the Von Trapps," she joked.

She added to The Mirror: "He’s a fantastic singer. We have an Emmerdale band that various cast members sing in, but because of Covid we haven’t been able to do any gigs.”

Olivia, who joined Emmerdale in 2018, attended Oxford School of Drama and landed roles in various theatre shows before finding fame on onscreen.

Before landing the role of Dawn Taylor on the ITV soap, she appeared in her first feature film Here Be Dragons in 2018.
