Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) was horrified at the end of Wednesday’s (July 19) Emmerdale as she discovered Faye had gone through with her threat of sending an intimate picture of her to everyone in the village.
A few months ago, Faye pretended to be in love with Mary – who had only just come out as a lesbian – but ended up destroying her when it was revealed that she just wanted all of her money.
Mary came across Faye at the start of this week after she was told the con artist had been arrested.
Meeting her enemy again of course wasn’t going to be easy for Mary. She was reminded of the trauma and horrific ordeal she went through with Faye, who was in the village for more than just a catch up.
Faye told Mary that unless she detracted her statement from the police, her friends and family would receive a private picture of her.

Initially, Mary didn’t want to go to the police, but she changed her mind tonight after a conversation with April (Amelia Flanagan), who revealed that she told a careers advisor at school how she wants to become a journalist, like her Gran.
Mary was defiant in her decision, aware that letting Faye take control of the situation wasn’t the right thing to do. She visited the station and then later, devised a cunning plan that saw Faye confess her crimes in front of Mary – all while she was recording it.
Faye was taken away in a police car and back in the pub, Mary and Rhona (Zoe Henry) were celebrating with Suzy (Martelle Edinborough) and Marlon (Mark Charnock), convinced it was the end of the matter at last.
Except it wasn’t.
As Mary chatted, phones in the pub started to ping and shocked expressions developed across peoples’ faces.
The penny then dropped for Mary, leaving her to conclude that Faye had sent the picture after all. She stood up and left the pub but outside, April had just received the message.
Rhona told her not to open it but it was too late, April had seen Mary’s image as well.
So, what now?
Can Mary get back on her feet after this?
