Take Off With Bradley and Holly saw the two presenters giving members of the public the chance to win a luxury holiday by taking part in various tasks. The second episode of the BBC show saw Bradley Walsh asking a contestant to pretend to be his mother and call Holly Willoughby. The 40-year-old was mortified when “Bradley’s mum” started yelling at her down the phone.
Sisters Pauline and Dianna were given the chance to win a holiday.
But presenter of The Chase asked Dianna to call Holly and have a rant at her in order to secure the prize.
“Hello, is that Holly?” Dianna asked when Holly picked up the phone.
“Who’s calling?” Holly could be heard asking. Bradley, 61, laughed as Dianna replied: “Holly it’s Margaret, Bradley’s mum.”
“Oh, hi – how are you?” Holly asked, sounding baffled.
“I’m alright but I’m a little bit angry with our Bradley,” the contestant continued.
Holly answered: “Oh alright, okay.” Dianna explained: “Because I’ve asked for 20 tickets, and he’s refused me.”
“Which show are you talking about, Dancing On Ice?” The mother-of-three asked.
She added: “Don’t worry… how many did you say you needed?”
“Could you get me 20?” Dianna asked. But before Holly could respond, Bradley had prompted Dianna to increase the number.
“No, 30 – make it 30,” she added. Holly sounded bewildered as she commented: “I might be able to get you a couple of tickets but I don’t know -“
“Oh no,” Dianna cut in, sounding angry. Holly offered: “I could speak to production…”
“Holly,” Dianna snapped. “I’ve never asked you for anything, have I? This is the first I’ve asked.”
“Oh my, no!” Holly replied, sounding worried. “If I could, I would.”
“No I’m sorry but you’ve let me down,” Dianna responded. The TV personality cried: “Oh no, don’t say that!”
“I can’t speak to you at the moment Holly, because I’m quite angry,” Dianna said.
“Oh no!” Holly replied. She was about to speak again when Dianna cut in to say: “Okay, bye.”
Bradley quickly hung up the phone before bursting out laughing.
He remarked: “More to the point, my mum’s Scottish!”
Take Off with Bradley and Holly airs at 6pm on Saturdays on BBC One.
