Hollyoaks star Sarah Jayne Dunn has revealed that the future is looking bleak for Mandy Richardson and her new husband Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson).
Mandy was left devastated as her daughter Ella (Erin Palmer) was arrested for murder in dramatic scenes during Monday's first look episode on E4.
The worried mum had previously done everything she could to cover up her daughter’s part in Jordan Price’s death, placing the blame with Charlie Dean (Charlie Behan).
Mandy decided to marry Charlie's dad Darren and build a cosy family environment for Ella, but her plans came tumbling down when the truth was exposed just minutes after their wedding.
Darren understood his bride's decision in trying to protect her daughter, but when he learned that she’d manipulated Charlie into keeping quiet, he was unable to forgive her.
Dishing the dirt on Mandy's future with Darren, Sarah told Daily Star: "I think they are really good for each other and they've been though a lot together.
"Ultimately they are always going to be in each others lives regardless. Even DJ isn't Darren's blood child but he's brought him up as his own.
"As long as they are both in the village they'll both somehow be in each others lives. Who knows, in a soap anything can happen."
Sarah, who has been part of the Hollyoaks family since 1996, went on to reveal that Ella's shock arrest will effect Mandy deeply.
"Ella's got to pay for what she's done," the 39-year-old actress said.
"It's not in her nature but there's got to be consequences so little Ella replaces Charlie in the detention centre.
"That's a massive thing to have to deal with because everything she's done is for nothing.
"What she wanted to prevent to happen happens so its a sad story for Mandy and she's got some explaining to do."
To make matters worse for the character,, Darren falls back into the arms of his ex Nancy Hayton (Jessica Fox) in upcoming scenes.
The former husband and wife share and kiss and end up spending the night together this week, but what does this mean for Mandy?
Sarah explained: "Darren's been getting closer to Nancy because Charlie has been in prison and Mandy has been so distracted with her own secret the she's not been as present in the relationship.

"They've just found out that Mandy's been keeping this big secret from both of them so they're going to talk and be spending more time together.
"It's not out of character for Darren to sleep around a bit but it's about if they can come back from that.
"Moving forward it's about if Mandy and Darren can salvage their love or wether what Mandy has done is too much for him. That is an ongoing thing.
She added: "I would love Mandy to be happy. She's been in my life a long time so I'd love her to be happy."
