ON the surface she leads a perfect life – she has an amazing job, gorgeous family and natural beauty.
But despite all that, Peter Andre’s wife Emily admits she is still plagued by one cruel comment a troll made over six years ago – about her hair.
The 32-year-old, who admits she still struggles with fame to some extent, recalled reading the remark and how it has stayed with her all this time.
She explained: “I try to avoid reading things, there can be a thousand nice comments and you will remember the one horrible one.
“I remember probably six or seven years ago, we had gone to something and I had lots of nice comments and I remember one person saying ‘her hair is so long, she really needs to get a haircut’.
“I remember thinking ‘god my whole life people have said how nice my hair is’ and then this one person saying I really need a haircut and I did, I probably had six inches off my hair after that.”

She continued: “Now, I wouldn’t. Someone saying that to be made me really conscious about. Even now sometimes, I have a couple of things coming up in the next week I think ‘should I get my hair cut, is it really long?’ – just from that one comment!”
Speaking about being in thrust into the limelight when she married Pete, 49, she said: "I did find it difficult at the time, I am naturally a really shy person, it was quite hard in the beginning and I had to navigate through that.
“I still find it hard. Red carpet I find so hard still.”
Fortunately Emily has Pete by her side as she learns all about the tricky world of fame and celebrity.

“He’s so reassuring to me, he is so lovely to me, he’s like ‘you look lovely as you are, don’t worry about what other people say’. I need that voice in my ear sometimes, just for that confidence,” she told us.
Emily is currently gearing up to release her second book Growing Up For Boys and admits she still can’t believe she’s a writer.
She said: “I still find it hard to get my head around sometimes that anyone would buy a book that I had written. I find it incredibly touching and I feel so grateful.
“It was always my dream to write a book but I never really thought it would happen. It was one of those things that I thought ‘wow, how amazing would that be’. I guess I never thought the opportunity would come and when it did, it was almost like it wasn’t real. It’s such a privilege for anyone to read things I have written.”
