Cat Deeley says it is her last day presenting This Morning
ITV bosses are reportedly facing a major setback as it’s believed Cat Deeley has turned down their offer to replace Holly Willoughby. Despite being reportedly offered £550,000, the 47-year-old has rejected the role.
Cat made her This Morning debut last month, leaving both viewers and producers impressed. Appearing alongside Rylan Clark and Craig Doyle, her stint on the show was a massive hit with audiences. Despite being allegedly offered a full-time slot on the show, Cat made the decision to go back to hosting So You Think You Can Dance in America.
However, this month it was revealed that the popular show will be returning in March 2024. This means that Cat will only have a few months in the UK before flying to the States to front the 18th series.
A source, who has spoken to MailOnline, claimed Cat’s decision has left bosses stressed. They said: “There are a lot of people [at ITV] pulling their hair out right now.

“The relaunch date was supposed to be in January but that is in no way going to happen now.
“Cat was the answer. She would have been an absolute triumph but they just couldn’t make it work.
“Now it is a case of back to the drawing board to decide a new plan of action.”
When contacted by Express.co.uk: surrounding the issue, a spokesperson at ITV said: “We don’t comment on speculation.”

This Morning has seen a huge shake-up this year after long-running presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby left the show.
Phillip stepped down from his position in May after admitting to having an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a younger male colleague.
Whereas Holly decided to leave her presenting role with immediate effect in October after being part of the show for 14 years.
Since their exits, viewers have seen a rotation of presenters fronting This Morning including Emma Willis, Ben Shephard and Rochelle Humes.
However, sources at ITV are believed to be happy to wait until the right pairing is found to fully replace Phillip and Holly.
They told the publication: “They aren’t rushing anything and are committed to waiting until they get the right pairing. It’s always been the aim to have a permanent duo alongside Alison and Dermot [O’Leary].
‘But the surprise silver lining to such a tough year for everyone on the show has been the success of the mix of presenters – some of the nation’s favourite faces rotating.’
This Morning continues weekdays on ITV from 10am.
