GMB presenters say goodbye to colleague live on air
Friday’s instalment of Good Morning Britain was an emotional one as presenters Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard turned their attention towards longtime colleague Pip Tomson.
It was broadcaster Pip’s last day on the ITV news programme after working there for almost a decade.
Panning the cameras on Pip, Kate said: “I’m excited for you and your new ventures but you are going to be a huge loss to us on the team here and for me personally as well.”
Ben added: “Thanks for being such a lovely part of the show as well.”
A tearful Pip replied: “It’s been an absolute joy and what you see at home is really what it’s like, it’s a great family and everyone is just amazing to work with.”

A concerned Kate told Pip not to cry as she continued getting emotional about leaving the ITV show.
Pip concluded: “It’s just time [to go] but everyone has been fabulous to thank you, everybody.”
To lift the mood, Ben shared: “Are we working in the same place?”
Pip joked: “I’ve got a load of cash the boss just gave me in my back pocket for saying that!”
